Simcoe County golf courses opening for second time as warm spring continues

Not all local courses have begun 2024 season

April 17, 2024  By Turf & Rec

Some golf courses in Ontario’s Simcoe County have launched their second opening of the season after having temporarily welcomed golfers back in March.

Warmer-than-normal weather in March allowed some courses to jump the gun, at least for a few days. Now that more consistent spring weather has arrived, local courses are opening their doors for their official starts.

Not all golf courses in Simcoe County have opened thus far. The Innisbrook Golf Course is one that got a March start amid a spell of warm weather before closing and then re-opening for good last week.

The Allendale Golf Course expects to open May 3, although its driving range is currently available to golfers.
