Ottawa-Gatineau closes sports fields, but keeping park spaces open

Bylaw officers already breaking up gatherings in parks

All sports fields, courts and parks in Ottawa-Gatineau have been closed to deter the spread of novel coronavirus, but park spaces are remaining open. About 650 fields are included in the measure. The decision to keep park spaces open is already being tested with bylaw officers breaking up large gatherings of people.
