July 3, 2019 – A rash of torn up lawns on homes and businesses in the Saint John, N.B. region is being attributed to an infestation of the European chafer beetle. A local landscaper said the problem with chafers has emerged in the area only within the past decade, but seems to be getting worse as the years pass.
