New G885 and G85B golf rotors aim to provide enhanced power, efficiency and durability

February 11, 2013  By  Mike Jiggens

The next generation of Hunter rotors built specifically for golf course
irrigation has been unveiled. After several years of development and
three years in field tests, the G85B and G885 boast the most powerful
gear drive on the market, along with a number of enhancements aimed at
providing more features, reliability and efficiency for all kinds of
golf courses.

Features of the new rotors include adjustable arc and true full circle capabilities, dual trajectory nozzles, Contour "Back Nozzle" options, and ratcheting stainless steel risers. While the G85B provides a Block configuration, the G885 offers patented Total Top Service (TTS) and Decoder-In-Head (DIH) technologies. Both rotors list radius ranges from 41 to 91 feet.

According to product manager Rich Dunn, "Boasting the highest torque output of any golf rotor on the market, the G885's patented gear drive will push through anything that gets in its way. With just one rotation of the turret by hand, the rotor's formidable durability can be easily felt. With such innovative power and so many advanced options, the G85B and G885 truly are the next generation in golf rotors."

The new rotors will go into production in March, 2013 and can be used in retrofit, upgrade and new construction situations. To learn more about Hunter's complete line of golf irrigation products visit http://hunterindustries.com/golf.
