Man looks to build disc golf course in Alberta town as game’s popularity builds

Enthusiasm for game continues to build amid pandemic

Disc golf – a variation of traditional golf with Frisbee-like discs used instead of balls – reached never-before-seen heights in popularity in 2020 as a safe recreational pursuit amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The enthusiasm has not wavered as the 2021 season is about to begin. In Devon, Alta., a local man is looking to build a course on family-owned property and has begun a social media campaign to stir up new interest.
