Local council divided over whether to purchase golf course

Buying La Vérendrye Golf Course not a priority, councillor says

The future of La Vérendrye Golf Course in La Broquerie, Man. has created a division among municipal councillors. Although $900,000 had been set aside to purchase the golf course, at least one councillor suggests golf courses aren’t a wise investment, especially at a time when road upgrades and drainage issues should be given priority.
