Gypsy moths taking over backyards in some southwestern Ontario areas

Pest caterpillars have prevented residents from enjoying backyard time

Gypsy moths are becoming a growing concern in the Lambton Shores area of southwestern Ontario. One resident of the Port Franks community says the caterpillars are so bad that she can’t spend time in her own backyard without fear of the insects dropping into her hair, onto her patio, her pool and other sensitive areas.
