Changing demographic of golfers in Newfoundland kept courses busy in 2020
More younger golfers, men and women, played last year
April 9, 2021 By The Chronicle Herald
Newfoundland golf courses such as The Willows and GlenDenning enjoyed busy seasons last year and are optimistic for more of the same in 2021. The general manager at both courses said a changing demographic was realized last season, as more golfers in their 20s and 30s – both men and women – were out playing. He suspects the COVID-19 pandemic had much to do with that as golf was one of the few recreational pursuits that could be accomplished safely.
