Vancouver Island golf course to close, others remain open
Club wants to take no chances and help slow virus' spread

Although other Vancouver Island golf courses plan to remain open, the Fairwinds Golf Course in Nanoose Bay has opted to shut down amid concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic. “This is not only the best decision for our Fairwinds Golf Club community, as we will also be doing our part in helping to slow the progress of this virus in B.C. and Canada,” a notice from the club stated.
