Vancouver – Levi Weber, head groundskeeper at Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium, has been named the Northwest Baseball League’s groundskeeper of the year for 2023.

Weber became head groundskeeper at the stadium – home of the Vancouver Canadians minor league baseball team – following two years without baseball played on the field due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.

The native of Colton, WA had previously worked for the Spokane Indians and at the Los Angeles Dodgers spring training facility.

Weber and his crew were challenged at the outset of the 2023 season with unfavourable condition.
