Solar lighting project at Mississauga sports park is paying off for city
More than 50 per cent reduction in electricity realized

The City of Mississauga has selected Duncairn Downs Park as the site for a pilot project to be lit by solar photovoltaic pathway lighting. The park, which is home to soccer and baseball fields, is seeing the elimination of greenhouse gas emissions and more than a 50 per cent energy reduction in electricity consumption.
