42-inch deck added to Stander I mower series

May 3, 2018  By  Mike Jiggens

The company that invented the stand-on mower is now offering a 42-inch deck on its Stander Intensity mower.

Wright Manufacturing’s 42-inch deck is an Aero Core, a deck design that features improved airflow, cut quality and anti-blowout features.

The floating Aero Core deck tilts side to side and front to back, allowing the mower deck to better follow terrain contours. It also improves the weight distribution for better handling on hills. The deck height can be adjusted “on the fly” in quarter-inch increments, and anti-scalp rollers automatically adjust the deck height to changes in terrain.

Recessed caster wheels reduce the turning radius. Combined with the compact footprint and control and handling features, this allows operators to trim as they mow. The compact size also means more mowers will fit on a trailer.

Wright built the rugged Stander I for operator comfort and easy step-off to pick up debris or in case of an emergency. The floating stand-on platford absorbs rough terrain through elastopolymer bumpers that provide a dampened field similar to a car. The bumpers are progressive to accommodate various weight operators. The wide stance provides greater control, and its forward slant makes the controls more ergonomic.

In addition to the 42-inch deck, Stander I mowers are also available with a 36, 48 and 52-inch deck. Engines range from 18.5 to 22.1 horsepower.
