June 5, 2018 – Wright Manufacturing’s Stander X, Generation 2 commercial mower has won a Twenty for 2018 new product award.
The new model mower was introduced in the fall at GIE+EXPO in Kentucky and marks a significant improvement over the original model.
The Twenty for 2018 awards recognize the top 20 new producs in the commercial landscape and irrigation markets. Products were judged by EPG Media and Specialty Information editorial staff. Criteria included innovation, marketability and application within the market.
Wright made more than a dozen changes to its Stander X. Each change improves on the mower’s durability, reliability and mowing efficiency. In addition, the Stander X, Gen 2 is available with AERO CORE deck. The floating deck tilts side-to-side and front-to-back, allowing the mower deck to better follow the terrain contours. It also improves the weight distribution for better handling on hills. The deck height can be adjusted “on the fly” in quarter-inch increments, and anti-scalp rollers automatically adjust the deck height to changes in terrain.
The Stander X, Gen 2 deck width choices are 48, 52 and 61 inches and engines range from 22 to 24 HP. With no seat, seat belts or arm rests, operators can step off for a quick exit or to pick up debris. The Stander X’s low centre of gravity and large wheels optimize stability, even on hillsides.
