The LMN team. Sept. 24, 2019 – LMN, a provider of business management software for landscape professionals, recently held the grand opening of its new offices in Markham, Ont. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti, Deputy Mayor Don Hamilton and representatives from the City of Markham, York Region and the Markham Board of Trade.
“I want to congratulate you on your decision to come to Markham and I want to welcome you to the IT family,” Scarpitti told more than 100 LMN staff, customers, partners and friends gathered at the opening. “I really am excited about a company like yours because landscaping is an important element in building wonderful communities. I was really pleased to hear that a lot of your business is happening in the United States – to have a homegrown Canadian company compete and be successful in the U.S. market is something that we’re very proud of.”
The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with LMN founders Mark Bradley, Janna Bradley and Mike Lysecki. The company is marking its 10th anniversary this year.
“We are proud to welcome LMN to Markham Centre, as the company continues to expand by drawing on the diverse and skilled talent we have here,” Scarpitti said. “LMN is transforming thousands of landscape businesses and plays an integral role in our thriving innovation ecosystem. Congratulations to the team as you celebrate your 10th anniversary and on your outstanding achievements in technology, innovation, and recruitment.”
Scarpitti also mentioned that LMN has joined more than 1500 high tech and life sciences companies in Markham in positioning the city as the high-tech capital of Canada.
“LMN has developed software that really helps contractors take their lives back and grow their businesses and our employees really believe that and really live that each day,” LMN CEO Mark Bradley dsif as he welcomed everyone to the grand opening celebration. “We chose Markham because of its deep roots in the technology industry. With its close proximity to the amenities and all of the talent that resides here, we thought it would be a great place to run our business. We look forward to recruiting some amazing local talent here in Markham.”
The mayor presented Bradley and his co-founders Janna Bradley and Mike Lysecki with a certificate of welcome and proceeded to lead them in a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. LMN’s Chief Commercial Officer David Chalmers wrapped up the event with a toast to LMN’s founders on their expansion and continued success. Guests were treated to appetizers and beverages throughout the evening and had an opportunity tour the modern 6,500-square-foot office space, guided by LMN staff.
