Late spring start didn’t hurt golf season at North Bay-area golf course
Cold, wet early spring would have delayed start anyway

The late start to the 2020 golf season wasn’t really a factor in the North Bay, Ont. area. Not being able to open at its normal time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Osprey Links Golf Course likely wouldn’t have opened until mid-May anyway due to a cold and wet spring. But once play got underway, exceptional summer weather and the fact that golf was one of the few recreational pursuits that could be done safely was a big shot in the arm for golf.
