Jobs in jeopardy in resort ownership transfer

Prince Edward Island’s Mill River Resort, which includes a golf course and campground, is laying off 49 employees as the property shifts from government to private ownership. The incoming owner says affected staff can re-apply for their jobs as long as they are willing to work for “private sector wages.”
