Enviro Masters Lawn Care under new ownership after 36 years

Franchised company now in the hands of group of three industry professionals

An Oshawa, Ont.-based lawn care company, with franchise locations scattered across Canada, has changed hands after 36 years.

Enviro Masters Lawn and Property Care has been acquired by a group of three industry professionals – an existing franchisee of 15 years, the past president of White Rose Nurseries and a human resources professional.

Founded by Martin Fielding in Caledon, Ont., Enviro Masters Lawn and Property Care began with a desire to lower and eliminate the amount of pesticides in the immediate environment of home properties. Fielding’s first development of integrated pest management was delivered to customers across Canada. Continued pesticide-free programs were developed and refined to bring out the best in environmentally considerate lawn care.

Fielding will act as a consultant for the next two years to ensure the company continues in the right direction for its current and new franchisees.

Enviro Masters boasts a low turnover of franchisees within the franchise industry with only five occurring during the past five years – most of whom retired.

Future plans are to develop more services and expand to more locations across Canada, with consideration to master franchise rights for selected U.S. states as well as the U.K.
