Eighty per cent of Alberta golf course under water following Athabaska River flooding
Equipment, fertilizer moved from maintenance building as a precaution

The flooded Athabaska River has put about 80 per cent of the Whitecourt (Alta.) Golf & Country Club under water. Club officials are keeping a watch on the adjacent McLeod River, but are moving equipment and fertilizer from the club’s maintenance building as a precautionary measure. The club anticipates upwards of two weeks to clean up the course, with silt removal being the major task.
