Burlington, Ont.’s city-owned Tyandaga Golf Course will remain an 18-hole facility. City council has approved a staff recommendation to keep the course as it is and to explore opportunities for capital and risk mitigation improvements.

A Tyandaga Golf Course Reserve Fund will be created and funded by user fees aimed to help pay for future enhancements.

Community feedback about the golf course was overwhelmingly in favour of maintaining Tyandaga as an 18-hole facility.

Improvements slated for this year include the removal of ash trees and trimming other trees to improve sight lines. Reviews will also be made for tee box improvements and bunker alterations.
