B.C. golf course fined $70G for dumping excess fill

May 31, 2019 – A $70,000 penalty has been slapped against Richmond, B.C.’s Savage Creek Golf Course for dumping a large amount of fill on its property while expanding the course in the Agricultural Land Reserve. According to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, the golf course exceeded its fill permit by more than a million cubic metres.
