As many as 1,000 ash trees in Windsor may have survived insect’s wrath

Sept. 25, 2019 – The City of Windsor, Ont. had thought it had lost all of its ash trees from the emerald ash borer infestation that hit the region in 2000, but an inventory that began in June has found about 500 ash trees still standing. That number could possibly double by the time the inventory is complete, the city’s forestry analyst speculates.
