Invasive grasses choking out park’s pond meets their match

Sept. 25, 2019 – A team from Weed B’ Gone has removed 16 dumpsters worth of phragmites grass from a pond at Hamilton’s Confederation Park. The invasive species of tall grass chokes out other plants and robs birds of nesting sites. The 12-week removal project wraps up this week.
