Work shoe offers blend of safety, comfort and style

KEEN Utility has released a new shoe for the fall that combines on-the-job safety with style and day-long comfort.

The CSA Arvada has been designed for jobs that require constant movement and long hours afoot. The running shoe design blends athletic-level cushioning and style with a carbon-fibre toe that is 15 per cent lighter than steel and an EH-rated, oil-and-slip-resistant rubber outsole that provides dependable footing. The shoe features a lightweight, compression-resisting KEEN.ReGEN mid-sole that returns 50 per cent more energy than standard EVA foam and a sneaker-like ultra-breathable mesh
upper.

The shoes are available for both men and women in different colour variations.

Turf & Rec tested the shoes, finding all-day wear resulted in the same level of comfort at day’s end as was present at the day’s outset. The fabric allowed the feet to breathe throughout the day, resulting in dry feet when removed hours later. The design of the footwear allows the shoe’s wearer to blend in among those wearing consumer running shoes. This allows for a natural look when worn after hours.
