Trees need better protection: Abbotsford councillor

A better job of protecting trees in Abbotsford, B.C. must be done, a local councillor claims, after acknowledging the city lost about seven per cent of its tree cover between 2005 and 2015. Planting a sapling doesn’t make up for the loss of a mature tree, she says.
