Unexploded munitions may exist at planned CFL site
An explosion at the Magazine Hill Depot on July 18, 1945 sent thousands of munitions rounds and metal fragments airborne.
Nov. 13, 2018 – The site proposed for an expansion CFL team in Halifax could have serious problems not anticipated. According to a retired military ammunition technical officer, the proposed Shannon Park stadium site may still have some unexploded munitions from an explosion at the Magazine Hill Depot on July 18, 1945.
