A zoning amendment has been granted in Penticton, B.C. for the construction of an indoor baseball facility, which would be the Okanagan’s first.

A former auto wrecking yard was previously situated at the proposed site.

City council recently heard from a group of individuals who spoke in support of such a facility.

Grand Slam Baseball Okanagan is envisioning about 5,000 square feet of artificial turf, batting cages and other related equipment.
