Yellowknife opens new multi-sport indoor facility with artificial turf, synthetic ice
First official event is March archery championship

Training for a multitude of sports on a year-round basis is now available to athletes and sports groups in Yellowknife, N.W.T. A 4,500-square-foot multi-sport training facility (MSTF) is a joint venture among Hockey NWT, NWT Softball and the Aboriginal Sports Circle NWT. The facility is equipped with synthetic ice, artificial turf and specialized flooring for such activities as archery, softball pitching and batting cages. Programming is set to begin at the MSTF on Feb. 28 while the facility’s first official event is the NWT Archery Championships in March.
