Winnipeg is turning to its residents to help craft a long-term plan to protect and manage the city’s urban forest. Already under threat by invasive pests, Winnipeg’s tree canopy is also facing challenges from further development. “It’s to provide a framework and direction,” says city forester Martha Barwinsky.
