Winnipeg committee votes against proposed Blumberg golf course sale

Winnipeg’s property and development committee has voted against the proposed sale of the municipal John Blumberg Golf Course. The matter of the proposed $13.7-million sale of the property for redevelopment now shifts to the mayor’s executive policy committee and finally to council. Golfers and lobbying groups have been concerned about the loss of green space in the city if the sale goes through.
