Winnipeg begins treatment of ash trees to protect them against invasive ash borer

Treatment program to continue to August

The City of Winnipeg has begun its treatment of ash trees to protect them against the invasive emerald ash borer.

The treatment program will be conducted Monday through Friday until August at several locations throughout the city.

Injections of a Health Canada-approved insecticide will be administered into the trunks of designated trees.
