What many Canadians wish never to see growing on their lawns are a highly sought-after food source for others. In Nova Scotia, dandelions, plantain, clover and cattails are prized menu items for some who originally learned of their nutritional value while trying to make ends meet. Now, they’re hooked on the cheap and abundant greens.
