Weeds taking over Windsor ball fields in absence of regular foot traffic

The operator at Windsor’s Ciociaro Softball Complex says without normal foot traffic on his fields, weeds have taken over and have rendered the playing surfaces unusable. The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented team sports from taking place so far this year, and some leagues have cancelled their seasons altogether as their playing window continues to shrink.
