Volunteers help restore ash borer damaged park

Nov. 7, 2018 – Trees destroyed by the emerald ash borer at Niagara Falls’ Patrick Cummings Park in Chippawa are being replaced by new trees and a 500-square-foot pollinator garden aimed at helping the struggling monarch butterfly. Dozens of volunteers, including students and others from the community, helped city staff with the work to help the park return to its former glory.
