Victoria’s famous cherry blossoms may soon be lost

Feb. 25, 2019 – Victoria’s beloved cherry blossoms may become a distant memory in the near future as the Vancouver Island city proceeds with a plan to replace the aging non-native species with native species. Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps said climate change is playing a role in the decision to replace the trees.
