Vaughan, Ont. opens FIFA-regulation artificial turf field at local sports park

The City of Vaughan, Ont. officially opened a new artificial turf sport field this week at Vaughan Grove Sports Park.

The field meets FIFA standards and includes enhanced drainage, site grading, fencing, a digital scoreboard and other amenities.

In addition to the new field, the city has made improvements to the artificial field at Sonoma Heights Park with new goalposts, upgraded drainage and a solar-powered scoreboard.

In all, Vaughan maintains 151 soccer fields and 58 baseball diamonds.
