Unkempt yard complaints on the rise in Windsor, topping numbers from 2021
City fields more than 2,500 complaints this year

Complaints about unkempt and dirty yards are on the rise in Windsor, Ont. The city fielded more than 2,500 complaints between Jan. 1 and June of this year or 162 more than 2021’s numbers. Among the violations cited included grass exceeding 12 inches in height, landscaping not getting cut back and garbage scattered about. Residents who fail to comply with city bylaws are subject to fines of $215.
