University using aesthetic bioswales to filter stormwater runoff

Sept. 7, 2018 – Bioswales are being used at the University of Lethbridge to help filter stormwater runoff. Although the turfgrass and shrub gardens provide aesthetic value, they keep pollutants out of the river, while also slowing down the flow of water to prevent downstream flooding.
