U.S.-Canada border golf course makes changes amid COVID-19 pandemic

A golf course that straddles the communities of Portal, N.D. and North Portal, Sask. has had to undergo some changes this season in order to accommodate Canadian golfers amid the current COVID-19 pandemic. The ninth green at Gateway Cities Golf Course – located on U.S. soil – gave way to a temporary green on the Canadian side while the first tee – also in the U.S. – was relocated to keep Canadian golfers from crossing the border.
