Two new artificial turf sports fields slated for construction in Nanaimo, B.C. in 2023

Harewood Centennial Park in Nanaimo, B.C. will be the setting for a pair of new artificial turf fields that will support a variety of sports. The provincial government is footing the lion’s share of the funding – $2.5 million – while the city, federal government and local school board are contributing the remainder of the cost. Construction is expected to start in April of next year with completion expected the following August.
