Turn golf courses into parks for residents in need of fresh air, advocacy groups say
Adequate park space is slim in some Toronto neighbourhoods

Advocacy groups in Toronto are asking the city to consider turning some of its municipal golf courses into park-like green spaces. The request comes in response to a recognized shortage of green space in racialized and low-income neighbourhoods where there are few opportunities for people to seek fresh air amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
