Trees get second life after public outcry

Two century-old sugar maples in Ottawa have been granted a reprieve from being removed, thanks to a local public outcry.

Aug. 9, 2018 – A public outcry over a developer’s plan to remove a pair of century-old sugar maple trees from an Ottawa neighbourhood has resulted in the trees’ getting a reprieve by the municipality.
