Tree removal plan has councillors questioning city staff

The removal of a 70-year-old stand of mature trees to allow the construction of several new townhouses in a Kingston, Ont. subdivision has led some city councillors to question city staff’s judgment, claiming the absence of trees will entirely change the character of the neighbourhood.
