Tree cleanup at Ottawa’s trails and green spaces could take months, National Capital Commission says
Derecho storm left 'dozens and dozens' of fallen trees

Trails and green spaces littered by fallen trees and branches from the recent derecho storm in the Ottawa area may take weeks or months to clear up, the National Capital Commission says. The NCC claims the city’s greenbelt area was hit hardest by the storm, and some trails have remained closed to the public. On some trails, “dozens and dozens” of trees fell, an NCC spokesperson said.
