Toronto’s sports fields reopen for training, but not yet for game play

Disallowing game play designed to stop spread of coronavirus

The City of Toronto is reopening about 700 sports fields for training purposes, but is still unable to allow games to take place amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayor John Tory said the continued prohibition of games is a measure to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
