Till fallen leaves into garden soil instead of bagging them, landscaper suggests
Leaves are an effective compost agent

Instead of raking and bagging fallen leaves and leaving them at curbside for pickup, they can be put to use effectively as a compost agent, a Moose Jaw landscape professional says. Leslie Cornell of Cornell Design and Landscaping suggests working leaves into garden soil before snow begins to fall will attract ladybugs that will eat aphids. In the spring, the leaves can be tilled into the soil and become usable for plants.
