Thunder Bay urges Ontario government to reconsider its outdoor amenities ban
Closures not based on scientific evidence, mayor says

Arguing that the Ontario-wide closure of outdoor recreational amenities, including golf courses and soccer fields, aren’t based on scientific evidence, the City of Thunder Bay is asking the province to reconsider its directive. Recreation is vital to mental health and over well being, Mayor Bill Mauro says. He added health officials suggest the government lockdown of outdoor amenities are not helpful in the fight against COVID-19.
