Thunder Bay endorses review of its lawn maintenance bylaw to consider naturalization
Naturalization doesn't mean excessive turf growth

City council in Thunder Bay, Ont. has endorsed a review of its lawn maintenance bylaw which could allow for naturalization on lawns and boulevards. A representative of the city’s EarthCare Advisory Committee assured council that naturalization doesn’t mean allowing non-native turfgrass to grow in excess. Rather, it would promote biodiversity and reintroduce native plant species.
