Thorold, Ont. city council commits $100,000 to upgrade municipality’s baseball fields

Hopes for an artificial field seem dashed

The City of Thorold has earmarked $100,000 to upgrade its baseball fields, but hopes for an artificial turf surface at the McMillan Park diamond seem dashed. Instead, $28,460 in upgrades have been set aside for the diamond at McMillan. Nonetheless, the president of Thorold Minor Baseball is pleased with the city’s commitment.
