TerraLink Horticulture Inc., a manufacturer and retailer of turf, landscaping and agricultural products, is celebrating its 50th anniversary by making a $50,000 donation to food banks in Abbotsford, Delta, Chilliwack, Kelowna and Airdrie.

The Abbotsford-based company was founded in 1973 as Coast Agri, supporting local farmers’ needs for fertilizer and crop inputs. The company has since evolved into its presence in commercial greenhouse, turf, nursery, ornamentals, forestry, garden centres, landscaping and organic markets.

Adopting the name TerraLink, which is Latin for “the earth itself,” it signifies the company’s connection to the land in which it lives and operates today.

TerraLink began with 23 employs and has since grown to 148 staff members and agronomists. Its product line includes a wide range of fertilizers, seeds, crop protection products, equipment, agri-plastics, amendments, and other inputs. Its brand names include BioFert, EarthLink, RichGROW and Richardson Seed.
