Superintendents must make informed decisions about pesticide usage
Human and environmental health, playability are important issues

Luke Paddle, superintendent at Dragon’s Fire Golf Club north of Hamilton, has written an article for the Golf Industry Network that sheds some light on golf courses’ use of pest control products. Superintendents must make informed choices about their usage of chemical products, keeping in mind that human health must be at the forefront as well as environmental protection. At the same time, playability standards need to be kept up.
